I recently had the opportunity to take part in the Silver Muse “shakedown” cruise, where a number of travel industry and media we able to experience the ship first hand before the official christening in Monte Carlo on 19 April 2017.
And true to expectations, Silver Muse does not disappoint.
Instead of just being a revised version of existing vessels, Silver Muse now sets the standard by which competitors will be judged. In fact, Silversea has already started the major task of updating their other ships to complement the newcomer.
All your favourite signature features are still included – generous, elegantly furnished suites with private veranda, walk in robe, marble bathroom with Bulgari bathroom amenities, and the famous Silversea butlers. But technology has come a long way in the last few years.
Prepare to be blown away by the TV’s in your suite. There are two enormous televisions built into the mirror wall facing the sofa and the bed. When they are switched off, you don’t see them at all. Activated, they become your giant movie and TV screen, your interactive hub for booking shore excursions and spa appointments, and a whole lot more.
Dining has been completely re-invented. Gone are “The Restaurant” and “The Bar”, now replaced with eight specialist dining venues, including the Atlantide steak & seafood grill, Japanese at Kaiseki, Pan-Asian at Indochine and La Dame by Relais & Chateaux.
And there’s so much more to discover for yourself.
Silver Muse introduces an exciting new future for a cruise line that has long been considered traditional. You’re going to love it!
