He has a particular love and appreciation of the art and history of Europe, and when it comes to adventure, an African safari, he claims, is one of life's great experiences.

As a wise man once said, "You can leave Africa but Africa never leaves you."

Chris loves to take his family on vacation to Europe, where a cruise is usually on the program. A perfect blend of relaxation and discovery.

At the beginning of my working life some 30 years ago, there was no other career wish on my mind other than the travel industry. I’m not sure how the travel bug bit me, but it was in my veins from an early age!

As a business owner, I focus on 'high touch' service levels and close attention to detail and I try to plan well researched itineraries with creativity and special care. My great love is hotels and they are a passion I have always enjoyed. Hotels can often be the destination in my eyes! I like to mix and match itinerary planning with luxury highlights and boutique gems. Food and wine play a starring role and I enjoy researching and recommending restaurants to my extended list of repeat and long standing clients.

My ideal holiday would likely include travel to Europe (especially France), and it may include a short cruise on a luxury line. It will most certainly include a couple of celebrated starry hotels and possibly a week in a villa in Italy or a smart apartment in Paris. I will most definitely have organised dinner bookings at some trendy restaurant that I’ve read about! I’ll want to have a private guide in a few of the cities I visit – especially the cities I think I know well! I may well include an interesting stopover such as Cape Town or Delhi and I’m always happy to spend time in Asia. I’d be wishing all along that I’d somehow worked the trip to include a visit to New York again! At the end of it, I’d be sorry that I didn’t have another week to enjoy time at a beach resort doing nothing, no doubt wishing it was somewhere like The Seychelles! All that said, I love everywhere I go – and pinch myself every time to remind myself that I’m actually there!

I have a career that has spanned many areas of the industry – retail, wholesale, corporate travel and occasional tour leading...but I’ve found my home now, designing interesting and exciting upscale holidays for our lovely Bayview Travel clients, often including a cruise.

It’s funny, but when I first started in the travel industry I just didn’t understand the attraction in taking a cruise holiday. Boy was I in for a lesson when I took my first cruise! Now I strive to understand why you would want to travel any other way.

And what’s more, most areas of the world are accessible by ship. So if it’s luxury expedition cruising in the Antarctic, family fun holidays on the new mega-ships, river cruising on the Danube, the Yangtze, the Amazon, the Chobe River or anything in between, I’m sure I can help out. Cruising is such a wonderful addition to a travel itinerary.

As far as my own favourite destinations are concerned, I have a very long list! It’s hard to go past French Polynesia, with its exotic mix of French charm and Pacific beauty. Mediterranean Europe is also close to my heart. I love the stunning and varied architecture in southern Spain and Turkey, and the carefree holiday lifestyles in France and Italy. For a bit more adventure, some jaw dropping scenery and a complete contrast of cultures, I’m very fond of South America. It’s a big world out there...

Having spent many years specialising in ski holidays in the northern hemisphere, I have a deep passion for the wintery slopes of America, Canada & Europe.

One of my favorite areas would have to be the Trois Vallees in France, which showcases magnificent scenery in both winter and summer, with unsurpassed quality of snow from December through to the end of April.  The available skiing area is quite incredible and includes the world famous resorts of Courchevel and Meribel.

Europe in general offers an amazing contrast of skiing areas, each holding their own appeal, but all offering an experience to remember.  Quaint little villages and towns on the way to these areas always offer an abundance of history, culture and insight in to how these communities have developed over the years.

Colorado is a passion, with the amazing drive through the Rocky Mountains alongside the Colorado River to areas such as Breckenridge, Vail and Aspen.

On the flip side, I have intricate knowledge of travel throughout Asia and some of its more out of the way destinations.  Plus I enjoy the complexities of putting together difficult itineraries, and unusual airfare combinations to any destination across the globe.

When my youngest of four sons started school, I thought, what am I going to do now? What do I love doing? Travelling! I adore airports, planes, hotels, exploring new places, revisiting loved places, every minute of travel! I realised that I also gained enormous pleasure in sharing my experiences and my discoveries. I really think that’s the secret to being a valuable travel agent. If you love it yourself, then you will treat every client’s trip as if it is your own and make it special.

I am so excited when a client sends me a postcard and tells me how much they have enjoyed the place that I suggested. I have saved every postcard that has ever been sent to me.

Travel is exciting and, even after all these years, there are so many destinations still to see and enjoy. My Favourite places - Italy and France.

I have explored so many gorgeous little places which I would love to share with you!

Being in this industry has provided me with amazing opportunities to see the world and visit exotic and wonderful countries such Sri Lanka and Kenya.  The best part of my job is that I get to share my passion for travel with my clients, and I pride myself on offering them the highest level of service possible.  I really enjoy exceeding their expectations!   Experiencing new places and cultures is so exciting and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you.

Since I was young, my ambition has been to travel the world. Having now been to most continents and countries I can now say this dream has largely been achieved. I have worked on ships and this is my major sources of interest, not discounting the value of land-based travel.

After completing my first degree which was in tourism management I worked for P&O Cruises in the U.K both as an officer on board and in their London office. Moving forward to 2017 when I gained my CLIA (Cruise Line Industry Association) master’s qualification, the years between have seen 114 cruises on a variety of different cruise lines. Needless to say, I have a very strong interest and knowledge of cruising including organising group travel.

In February 2019, I was a finalist in the CLIA awards for 2018 Cruise Consultant of the year Australia, this was a great accolade that meant I’m one of the top cruise specialists in the country. I was nominated by both cruise lines and agency staff. This assures you of getting the best advice when looking for a cruise.

I have also been to over 100 countries since my travel bug began. Some of the off beaten track places that I have been to include Borneo, Eastern Turkey, Russia, Mozambique, and many others. I still want to visit the Antarctic region the southern parts of South America.

My European knowledge is extensive, having lived in the U.K and travelled in Europe until I was 28. If you have never taken a cruise to Kotor and the Adriatic then I highly recommend this to you. Of course a cruise is a fantastic way to see the Baltic countries as well. If you want a restaurant recommendation in London I am the person to ask!

America and the Caribbean provide a wide variety of experiences for people with differing budgets. In the Caribbean there are the superb hotels of the western coast of Barbados, small unspoilt  islands such as Bequia and much more. North America offers extensive travel experiences. There are interesting cities such as San Francisco and New York, cruises to Alaska, overland tours and beyond that the wide spaces of Canada.

Josie has been travelling since her early years and has always loved to try strange food and massacre different languages!

Her favourite places in the world are Iceland, southern Alberta in Canada and Umbria in Italy, but basically anywhere which has history and good food, but preferably with snow and fir trees rather than sunshine and palms - she is definitely not a beach bunny! She enjoys things which are a bit different and not mainstream but also loves learning the history of things and how they got to where they are now...

A bit of a museum person at heart, but willing to tackle anything new and different.

Although I have had a passion for travel from a young age, it kicked into overdrive the first day I arrived in London. Over the next 4 years I took every opportunity to travel throughout Europe, including Scandinavia and Russia. However it was Italy that truly captured my heart.

With its fascinating history, beautiful countryside, friendly people and not to mention delicious pasta and gelati, what more could you want from a destination!  From exploring the Cinque Terre to splashing through the water in Venice or exploring the Grecian ruins in Sicily, I am always left craving more.

Following my extensive travels through Asia, I have also developed a place in my heart for Thailand and Laos and their laidback natures. There is nothing like kicking back on a beach or visiting a Buddhist temple and soaking up the serenity of these destinations...but then again, it’s hard to go past the hectic nature of the great cities of the world like Bangkok and New York, or witnessing true nature with a pride of 35 lions and a baby elephant or even the beehive domes of Australia’s own Bungle Bungles.

I also have to admit a deep, dark secret – I am actually a Kiwi, and therefore love the beautiful scenery and endless activities on offer in New Zealand. Convincing my apprehensive mother to do the scenic helicopter trip over Fox Glacier and Mt Cook, and seeing the look of utter enjoyment on her face as we landed on top of glacier is one of my greatest travel achievements.

From the time I lived in Sweden in 1994, and wandered and explored the UK, Europe, St Petersberg and Scandanavia, I knew my destiny was set.  The travel bug had me!

Our family travelled extensively around Australia when I was young and I have continued to explore far and wide internationally over the last 22 years.   Working in various roles in the travel industry, including Film & TV Travel Consultant, Corporate Consultant & Accounts, Team Leader, Retail Consultant and Personal Assistant to a Director.  I find that I particularly love the planning and personalising of each holiday, helping to bring the clients  dream to reality!

Nothing gives me more joy, than hearing the excitement of a returned traveller, detailing all the wonderful things they have discovered and experienced, on their holiday that I have helped  to create.
