I find travelling a wonderful experience, meeting people from completely different backgrounds and cultures and learning about their lifestyle.

I also love the atmosphere of airports as normally everyone is happy and excited about going to a different destination.

Since my daughter started her cycling expeditions around the world, my interest in places like South America has really intensified. Visiting the Galapagos Islands recently was a highlight for me, and just the first of what I hope will be many more trips to that wonderful part of the world.

Europe is also a favourite as it has so much history and culture to absorb. And who can resist that glorious view from the Cinque Terre?
